Privacy Policy
Short version: Moodstash runs in your browser. Your Pinterest boards and the images you download go straight from Pinterest to your computer and never pass through our servers. We don't run analytics, ads or tracking. The only data that leaves your browser because of Moodstash is your license key when you activate Pro.
Who we are
Moodstash is made and operated by the Moodstash team ("we", "us"). Payments are handled by Dodo Payments as merchant of record (see Purchases). Contact: support@moodstash.app.
What the extension does with your data
Pinterest pages and images
When you open a Pinterest board and use Moodstash, the extension reads the board's pins — titles, descriptions, links and image addresses — from the Pinterest page you are viewing, using your existing Pinterest session in the same way the page itself loads pins as you scroll. It then downloads the images from Pinterest's image servers and packs them into a ZIP file that is saved on your computer.
This happens entirely inside your browser. The board data and images are not sent to us or to anyone else. The extension never posts, saves, follows or changes anything on your Pinterest account, and it never reads your Pinterest password.
Stored on your computer
The extension keeps a small amount of data in your browser's extension storage, which never leaves your device:
- Your license key, its activation ID and plan, if you activate Pro.
- The times of your recent free downloads (only the time stamps), to apply the free weekly limit.
- Your settings, such as a custom file-name template.
Removing the extension deletes this data.
Sent to our payment provider
When you activate, re-check or remove a Pro license, the extension sends the license key and an activation name (for example "Moodstash · Chrome on mac · 4f2a") to Dodo Payments' license service to confirm that the key is valid. A key is re-checked about once a week. Nothing else is sent.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, who act as the merchant of record. Dodo collects the details needed to take payment and comply with tax law (such as your name, email address, billing country and payment details) and shares with us the order details we need to provide support, such as your email address and what you bought. We never receive your full card details. Dodo's own privacy policy applies to the checkout.
If you email us, we keep the conversation so we can help you, and delete it when it is no longer needed.
This website
moodstash.app uses no cookies, analytics, advertising or third-party scripts and loads no external fonts. Our hosting provider processes standard server logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site.
Chrome Web Store user data policy
The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell user data, do not use or transfer it for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose, and do not use or transfer it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
Your rights
Because the extension stores your data only on your device, you can view and delete it by removing the extension. For anything we hold (support emails and order records from Dodo Payments), email us to access, correct or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Moodstash is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the effective date above. If a change affects what leaves your browser, we will also say so in the extension's update notes.
